We are a family-run small business, run by husband-and-wife team David and Nicole Okamoto. David is the cookie guru and genius behind our unique flavors, who spent his childhood growing up in Japan and Hawaii learning to cook from his Bachan (grandma), while Nicole is currently responsible for all business operations. David's daughter, Lillian, is UMAI's resident taste tester and sticker giver outer.

We specialize in handcrafted premium cookies featuring bold Asian-inspired flavors. Our cookies have the highest quality ingredients that we source locally or make in-house. We are based in Apex, North Carolina, serving the greater Raleigh-Durham region and shipping nationwide.
